PILILY was founded in 2022 by Mbali Gushu to merge her passion for seeing positive growth in Africa and a decade of experience with supporting social enterprises.

ABOUT MBALI
Mbali is a seasoned organizational development advisor. She has spent nearly a decade advising and supporting over 100 social entrepreneurs in Sub-Saharan Africa. Mbali has worked with young social entrepreneurs as the Country Coordinator of ThinkImpact. She has led large teacher recruitment campaigns to build a network of low-cost schools in South and East Africa with Nova Pioneer Academies. Moreover, she has led the support of over 120 Ashoka Fellows in Southern Africa as the Regional Director of Ashoka. In addition, Mbali spent 5 years at Teach For All supporting social entrepreneurs to grow their national movements from inception to national scale NGOs. Mbali served as COO of Cloudline, Africa’s first airship-producing aerospace-founded company that raised $6M pre-seed. At Cloudline, Mbali ran a complex operational network and coaches engineering teams to achieve science-defying goals. Mbali loves to support leaders building bold ideas to solve tough challenges in Africa and beyond.
